Weekend was great. Sauna on Friday on the banks of Lake Hawea. You get 3 rotations - fire-lit sauna and a plunge in the lake. It was a group session. First two rotations you can chat, then the last is silent. The extreme hot to extreme cold was a pretty sweet sensation.

Skiing on Sunday. Everything really came back to me again. Felt less uncoordinated. Only second outing of the season (and unfortunately the season is ending). I've decided to spend up for next season and get the season pass. Forgot how much I enjoy it. I got a black run in and some jumps this time. My favourite thing is going fast with big long carves. Charlifts were delayed until 9.30 AM, but the front passed as expected and it ended up a beautiful sunny day and not too crowded.

Dad's place around the corner had a ceiling fall in from a leaking hot water cylinder. It is the spare room they don't rent out thankfully. I popped around yesterday and cleared out some of their stuff to make room for repairs.

My housemate moves out this week. His contract with the ski rental job is ending. He's been good. I will have my space back for a bit before deciding if I want to get someone in again. It'll come down to how much I can save without that extra income. It paid for my Vietnam holiday and some skiing. I've really enjoyed those things without having to skimp on groceries, so it may have to happen again.
