Woah went down a rabbit hole looking at NAS setups. Another door opened. I don't think I'm ready. Some notes:

• Ideally I'll be running TrueNAS CE
• I would get the TrueNAS Mini E but it doesn't look available here
• HP MicroServers seem to be a good option that is compatible. ProLiant series looks like the newest
• Supermicro servers available on PB Tech
• Synology, Asustor, QNAP are alternative, relatively locked systems, but readily available and affordable
• Is it time for a rack? Probably
• My original plan was Raspberry Pi + USB HDD enclosure w/ PS. Need to research why I can/can't just run with that
• Want 4x SATA bays
• Will be running file storage, media server, photos server
• Integrates with Nextcloud for remote access and sharing with family
• Remote backup
• Scalable and a learning project - happy to spend up, or use difficult software if it improves my skills
