In New Zealand, Freeview TV viewers pointing their dish at the Optus D2 satellite are losing signals. There's been a switch to KoreaSat6 on April 15. That explains a few recent service calls. Bit shit that a lot of old satellite boxes straight up become useless and folk have to either buy a new one or upgrade to a smart TV. Apparently they've "recommended over the previous months, older satellite boxes should be replaced". We never saw any such notice, and the folks calling us didn't either. Anyway, we've found the source, and haven't pulled our hair out too much other than 30 minutes of WTF-everything-looks-sweet.
