🌱 Now the frosts are out of the way (famous last words?) I cut up some spuds in preparation for planting over the next week or so, splitting the eyes as they say. Got way too many. Started using the irrigation more frequently, and all the previously planted stuff is starting to grow again - silverbeet, rocket, spring onions, carrots. Grasses too. It's very messy in there. All the dropped tomatoes from last season are sprouting. I love that I thin out rather than plant. Maybe move them to new locations at the least.

💻 My Raspberry Pi dropped out of my Tailscale tailnet. Turns out the authentication key had expired (I just use the 180 day default). I ended up just switching off key expiry on the devices so it doesn't happen again.

💻 I made my Forgejo instance accessible via git.zkbro.com using Caddy's reverse proxy function. It means now if I ever want to share repositories publicly I can push them out to git.zkbro.com/zkbro.

🩸 Health - Started seeing a physio about my knee finally. Reckons a possible meniscus tear. I have exercises now, and joining a weekly strength class the physio runs so hopefully I can get some progress.

💻 Website - I updated my subscribed feeds page, using yq and jq to convert from my FreshRSS xml to json to html. Thanks to some helpful emails from Steve Simkins.

💻 Tools

• ScreenStream (Android) - The guys at work were struggling to find a decent tool to screenshare their mobile phones so I did a quick search and in under a minute I had found this app and my phone was projected on a local device. Looks like you can share globally too, and login via screenstream.io. Nice and user friendly interface.

• yq - Using to convert my FreshRSS xml export to json.

• jq - Now I can use jq to parse the json elements to MD or HTML or whatever. Brill.

📺 Watched

• Eyes Wide Shut (1999) - Last time I saw this was 26 years ago. A bit more enjoyable this time round. Probably got it more. Forgot it was a Kubrick film, but it quickly became obvious.

🎧 Listening to...

• Jurassic 5 - Quality Control (2000) - Bit of an old school hip hop throwback. Fun fun.

• Yves Tumor - Heaven to a Tortured Mind (2020) - Random clicks through allmusic lead me to this one (the title of the album grabbed me). The start reminds me of grindhouse movies, but it is more indie/electric pop than anything. They have some cool music videos. Interesting and unique.

• Librephone and the need for more Freedom for mobile computing | Neil - I haven't gone down this path yet, but I do agree these edges need to be pushed for ethical reasons. The folk at Free Software Foundation and PostmarketOS are doing a great job.

• Installing and using Linux (AsteroidOS) on a TicWatch Pro 2020 | Neil - Wait what.. Linux on a smartwatch? Hell yeah.

• Hypertext TV (HTTV) via Jon - Channel flicking through blogs. So cool.
