Early Spring Brow ridge scramble

Slow trot up at my favourite local to break in "Spring". I couldn't see the north face from below, but expected it to be ok from past experience. Ended up I was on snow most of the ridge line. There were some ski-touring tracks I could follow most of the way and they had stepped in some of the steeper bits which were handy as I wasn't carrying spikes and was preparing to turn around for a long backtrack.
The descent on the southern face from the ski field was a bit softer so was waste deep some of the way. Slow but not dangerous. Overpants were on again.
Weather was kind to me and although it was not much running I had a lot of fun. Finished at the Fergbutcher again and went for a heart-attack Butcher's Bap. Got back in time to walk around the block with my neighbour and her wee 10 month old. Good chats.
