228. Dimensions.com
A nifty little site with stylish graphics with dimensions of all things in the world, including people. Yes, Vince Vaughan is huge (6 foot 5). Something actually useful though might be things like [speaker dimensions](https://www.dimensions.com/collection/speakers) when planning a media room, or architectual [layouts](https://www.dimensions.com/classifications/layouts) for getting a standard size for a build project.

, Turns out I had it wrong too on a number of these. I think I still pronounce GIF wrong - I use a "g" as you would in "good", rather than "genuine". The latter just doesnt roll of the tongue for me.

, A great little article with many free open source software options and use-cases to escape the big players. Not just a list, but some actual reasoning behind the tools, and some discussion around trust and piracy which I align to.

, , , I feel like we're at a pivot point in acceptance of AI chat and search systems. I know Im using ChatGPT a lot more these days as my search-engine. Im not alone either. The language around these topics has changed in my blogosphere feeds too. No surprise really with your typical search engines becoming bloated and hard to navigate. Why bother when these AI technology can sift through the junk for you. Anyway, I like very much how Om sums it up in this post. "But perhaps most telling is how natural this all feels. The chat just works better than the old way of searching. Itโs more human, more intuitive, and more useful. Weโre not just witnessing a new feature being added to our digital toolset โ weโre watching the emergence of a new way of interacting with information itself."

I haven't got a use case for encrypting my files, but if I ever do, I will totally use this one. "A fur-ociously secure encryption tool that encodes your secrets as adorable cat and dog sounds, using real elliptic curve cryptography with a playful disguise."

, , Plain and simple. I'm not a fan of having to come up with a username in general so might just use these for an added level of security.

Apply different colour themes to your terminal. The site also has a nice view of all the available colour schemes with the HEX colour codes. Using gnome-terminal I had to create a Default profile in order to get it worked, outlined [here](https://github.com/Gogh-Co/Gogh/issues/63#issuecomment-323611718).
